SMC is a comprehensive medical city project; aimed at elevating the healthcare services in Sudan. As part of this nationwide scheme; six regional hospitals will be established in major cities across the country.
SMC Khartoum is the regional hospital for the city of Khartoum, with 250 Beds Capacity. The hospital resembles the futuristic image of envisioned healthcare services in Sudan, in terms of components and facilitates; as well as architectural design. In addition to all relevant components that comprise a general hospital.
SMC Khartoum has a cancer center and medical school facilities, that contains two lecture halls of a capacity of 200 & 100 persons, seminar rooms, classrooms, a library, labs, mockup theatre & dining halls. To cater for patients outside the country, there is a 200 hotel rooms associated with the complex.
TEKNO produced the as built drawings, performed a full medical design review to the old design and proposed a new layout according to the international standards
The new proposed design took into consideration the existing buildings structural condition & medical equipment’s weights relying on third parties accredited testing results and TEKNO’s structural engineers’ valuation
