Qatari Diar Mushaireb Project

In 2006, Qatari Diar acquired a 148,919 Square meters of land in Khartoum for development into an urban planned community. The land is located on the Nile Front, opposite to the presidential palace.

On this land, the client intended to create a mixed use development to include a 5 star hotel, residential apartments, offices, retail and commercial offices. In addition, Qatari Diar committed itself to developing the entire Nile frontage of the acquired site as a public Corniche area. The project requires a Master Vision, truly reflected both at the Site Planning and as well as the Building design levels.

The importance of an Urban Design Philosophy is to define a character over the entire development . The intent is to create a premium, life-style-rich waterfront product and one of the very best residential and business developments in Sudan.

The project will be a Sudan landmark, re-defining prime waterfront living and complement the Presidential Palace located directly across the River Nile. The river front development should include a pedestrian friendly Corniche, with permeability across and through the site.

TEKNO Consultancy is the local Architect of Record in association with Benoy, UK.
